Dawn M. Crossman, LCSW, RPT-S
Dawn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She specializes in mental health therapy for children, adolescents, and their families with issues related to depression, anxiety, divorce recovery, anger management, school issues, and parenting issues. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology and her Masters Degree in Social Work. She has been practicing since 1998 in a variety of settings. Her career began in a therapeutic day school for children with behavioral and emotional problems. She gained valuable experience working in the public school settings as a school social worker working with families as they accessed special education services for their children. Dawn has earned her Play Therapist Supervisor Credential and specializes in play therapy as a mode of treatment for children. Center for Hope and Family Solutions has a play therapy room designed for the use of play to help children cope and heal. Center for Hope is also a resource for parents. Dawn is available for parenting sessions to assist parents with skills to help their children as they are struggling. Dawn also offers supervision to other therapists seeking to become registered play therapists.
